To honour the pilots who served with gallantry and distinction during the Great War of 1914 – 1918.
Richard Kraut was a German aviator who scored one aerial victory in the Great War. He flew his Fokker D.VII “RK”, serial number 5924/18, with Jasta 63 in late 1918. The aircraft was taken to Canada as a war prize.
The Great War Flying Museum is rebuilding their Fokker D.VII in the markings of Richard Kraut.
